Extra Credit Opportunities for American Government & Politics
1) Extra Credit is on an individual basis. What I will allow for one individual I may not allow for another.
2) Set up a guest speaker to come to the classroom. Individual must be pre-approved by Mr. B and have political ties/job. Example: Campaign coordinator for a local politician. Maximum points: 100 if you get the president of the United States. Anything else will be worth less.
3) Write the President and get a response: 15 Points
4) Get your editorial in the State Journal/local paper: 15 Points
5) Get your editorial in the New York Times: 75 points
6) Arrange a field trip to a political event. 10 points
7) Write a paper on a current issue that you are really inspired about. 10 Points. (2 pages/typed/edited/sources/etc.)
8) Give me an idea.
